Questions, answered
The things visitors ask us most — booking, tours, airports and groups. Still not sure? Just get in touch.
Booking & payment
No — Speyside is rural Scotland. App-based ride-hailing services like Uber don't operate in this area, and there are no taxi ranks or walk-in cabs. If you're planning a trip to the distilleries or need a transfer, you need to book in advance with a local private hire operator. That's us — and it's exactly why booking ahead matters, especially in peak season.
Send us your details through the quote form, or call, text or WhatsApp us. Tell us the date, where you're going from and to, how many of you there are, and a time — we'll come back with a price and confirm the booking.
As early as you can. Speyside gets extremely busy at peak times — the Spirit of Speyside festival, summer and the whisky-tour season — when the roads are full and we're fielding a huge volume of calls, messages and emails. At those times short-notice and same-day trips usually aren't possible, and the best slots go first. Booking well ahead is always the safest way to get the time and vehicle you want.
We take cash, card and bank transfer, and we can invoice business and corporate accounts. There's no deposit just to get a quote — payment is arranged once your trip is confirmed.
Yes. For business and corporate travel we can provide itemised invoices for your account — just let us know your billing details when you book.
Tours & the day itself
That's what we do best. Tell us the distilleries or places you'd most like to see and roughly how long you'd like to be out, and we'll build a sensible route around them — including where to stop for lunch. Many of our reviews mention the itinerary planning.
Yes — that's the whole point of having a driver. You enjoy the tastings; we handle the road and get you back safely. We'll never rush you.
Families and groups of all ages are welcome. On our full-day tours we include a complimentary whisky tasting at a relaxed stop along the way — that's for adults of legal age (18 in the UK), and we lay on fruit juice, water and snacks so children and non-drinkers are looked after too. At the distilleries, the venue does its own age checks and will usually ask for proof of age before a tasting, so bring ID if anyone in your group might be asked.
We're happy to help you book distillery slots in advance, which we'd always recommend as popular distilleries fill up. Distillery entry and tasting fees are paid directly to each distillery and aren't part of the driving price.
We're based in Craigellachie and cover the whole of Speyside and Moray — Aberlour, Dufftown, Rothes, Elgin, Keith, Grantown and beyond — plus runs further afield to the airports and stations.
Airports, transfers & groups
Yes — door-to-door runs to and from Inverness and Aberdeen airports, with fixed prices agreed up front. We track your flight, so an early start or a delayed landing is no problem.
We keep an eye on your flight and adjust the pickup to the actual arrival time — there's no need to do anything. Several of our reviews mention drivers spotting issues and sorting them before they became a problem.
Our fleet ranges from cars for smaller groups up to an 8-seater minibus for larger parties — kit, luggage and all. Tell us your group size and we'll send the right vehicle. For very large groups, just ask.
Yes — we do luggage transfers and are happy to carry clubs, cases and the rest. Let us know what you're bringing so we send a vehicle with the space.
